Vasse Felix Classics are fruit-driven, approachable styles that have become some of Australia’s most popular everyday classics since their inception in the 1980s.

Rosé: A light, dry and refreshing Rosé, delivering an exciting addition to the popular Classic collection. Made from Shiraz fruit grown in the Margaret River Region, this is a Provençal style of Rosé showcasing a textural savoury core while embracing the delicate fruit perfume and succulence of its Shiraz base.

White: A classic Margaret River blend of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc. This popular, pure-fruit style has been made by Vasse Felix since 1987. It is zesty, fresh and crisp.

Red: A classic bright, lightly perfumed and succulent Margaret River Shiraz. Shiraz from this region is characterised by its medium weight, delicious structure with sweetness and power, and fine tannin profile providing great length. Established in 1967 by regional pioneer Dr Tom Cullity, Vasse Felix is Margaret River’s founding wine estate. One of the great wine regions of the world, Margaret River enjoys a truly unique environment and climate which makes it a paradise for winemakers and wine lovers alike. Owned by the Holmes a Court family since 1987, Vasse Felix has carefully expanded its vineyards over the decades to include four distinct and exceptional sites around the Margaret River region which grow fruit for the entire wine collection. Vasse Felix’s wines reflect the varietal strengths of Margaret River, with a focus on Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay, as well as Shiraz and Sauvignon Blanc / Semillon blends. The wines are vinified with minimal intervention and bottled within the Estate’s modern winery. Vasse Felix wines are recognized benchmarks in Margaret River and Australia, and the Estate is one of the country’s draw-card winery destinations.

 

Tasting Notes – Rosé

APPEARANCE Pale salmon pink.

NOSE Opens to reveal a pomegranate and wild strawberry base with lifted savoury lines of mineral oyster shell, turkey and cranberry sauce. Subtle floral tones of violet and rose petal provide a delicate lift with a musk-like nuance.

PALATE Full fruit body builds from the front of the palate with notes of fresh peach, strawberry and rhubarb, while a low acid profile gives the impression of sweetness though the wine is dry. A fresh mineral finish and light bodied structure contribute to a wine with both vibrancy and finesse.

 

Tasting Notes – White

COLOUR Brilliant straw green.

NOSE Bursting with notes of pretty citrus blossom, coastal heath, lemon thyme, gooseberry and fresh snow pea.

PALATE Crisp and refreshing with bright red apple crunch up front, leading to a succulent rockmelon flavour and richness towards the finish. A soft yet generous wine with pristine fruit expression and tremendous persistence.

 

 

Tasting Notes – Red

COLOUR Bright ruby red.

NOSE An enticing blackberry, raspberry and mulberry lift with beautiful spice notes of pepper and a hint of salami. Fresh and full of life.

PALATE A luscious, soft and delicious entrance is filled with flavours of juicy raspberry pie and a hint of black jelly beans. The satin fruit entrance transitions seamlessly, with the finest soft tannins, to a smooth dry finish with a lingering trace of berry pie.
