It’s a pirate’s life for us

Pirate Life’s story began long ago, across the seas and far away from the humble city of Adelaide. Jack and Jared met in Scotland while finessing their brewing skills and worked together on their dream to escape the Scottish weather and open a craft brewery somewhere sunnier.

Fast forward to the summer of 2014, Jack and Jared trekked across the Nullarbor with their band of scallywags to find the perfect location to set up their brewery. It was in this new Adelaide home where Pirate Life Brewing was born. With the help of supportive CEO (and Dad) MC, the Pirate Life pirates saw their brewing dreams come to life in 2015 with the creation of the Imperial IPA, West Coast Pale Ale and the Throwback IPA.

Fast forward to today and the Pirate Life team have four thriving breweries across Australia, with loads of epic and interesting brews that are just waiting for you to try them. Pirate Life Alcoholic Lemonade Cans 375mL

Origin: Adelaide, SA.
Type: Alcoholic lemonade.

Type: Mid-strength Pale Ale.

Colour: Sunny lemon.

Pirate Life Hazy XPA Cans 355mL

Origin: Adelaide, SA.
Type: Hazy XPA.
Analysis: 5% ABV.
Tasting notes: Full and fresh, with tropical fruits, moderate bitterness, and a lick of resinous pine.
Colour: Hazy, honey colour.
Palate: Hops are front and centre, with US and NZ strains supplying fruity characters.
Aroma: Pineapple and mandarin.

Pirate Life takes inspiration instead from anywhere they can find it – other breweries, interesting brewers, chefs, and even scientists and engineers.
They won the Champion Small Brewery award from the AIBA in 2016.
You can have your very own Pirate Life experience at their brewery here in Perth, where you’ll find a multitude of unique spaces; including in-house brewery, casual fine-dining restaurant TOMA, two private dining rooms; The Mezz and TANK, plus a Perth-specific merchandise & take-away digs.
