L.A.S Vino

Using the mantra of LUCK/ART/SCIENCE, L.A.S Vino was born. Based in Margaret River, Western Australia, they use minimal intervention with maximum flavour and where possible, aim to work with growers using sustainable, organic and biodynamic vineyard methods.

Led by wine icon Nic Peterkin, from the family that gave us Cullen Wines, Nic’s expertise really shines with his fresh approach to the wine industry. He wants to bring something “different and delicious” to the Margaret River region and really challenge the status quo.

Grenache

Origin: Ferguson Valley, WA.

Type: Grenache.

Colour: Bright ruby red.

Tasting notes: Light red fruits, blood orange and bitters, good intensity and length, texture and
mouthfeel, not unlike a structured, bony Burgundy style, finished by acidity.

Aroma: cherry, strawberry and rhubarb bouquet with a hint of candied cranberry.

Food match: Pair with a duck and wild mushroom risotto.

This beautiful Grenache needs time to open in the glass, but will not disappoint, particularly with a food pairing like duck or something hearty and warming like a pasta.
