Semillon Sauvignon Blanc

Origin: Margaret River.

Type: Semillon Sauvignon Blanc.

Tasting notes: Tropical fruit, crisp, spice.

Colour: Clear green.

Aroma: Clean, fresh.

Food match: Try with a seafood salad.

The Semillon in this blend lends a fullness and grassiness to the line, length and tropical fruit from the Sauvignon Blanc. Textural and bright.

Cabernet Merlot

Origin: Margaret River.

Type: Cabernet Merlot.

Tasting notes: Juicy black berries, and hints of eucalyptus with a smooth finish.

Colour: Deep berry red.

Aroma: Sweet, full, rich.

Food match: Pair with a home cooked casserole of your choosing.

Soft and juicy black berries, cassis and hints of eucalyptus.  Margaret River is the go-to region in Australia for this blend, and we do it well.  A ‘drink now’ wine, intentionally approachable with silky tannins and a smooth finish.

Rosé

Origin: Margaret River.

Type: Rosé.

Tasting notes: Berries with a hint of pomegranate and red apple. Sweet with a dry finish.

Colour: Pink.

Aroma: Sweet, fresh, clean.

Food match: Try with grilled lemongrass chicken skewers.

Bright, red raspberries, strawberries – a hint of sweetness on the palate, ending in a dry finish.  Pomegranate, red apple and bright acidity.

Sauvignon Blanc

Origin: Margaret River.

Type: Sauvignon Blanc.

Tasting notes: Crisp, plenty of spice, and tropical fruit.

Colour: Clear green.

Aroma: Clean, tropical.

Food match: Pair with a bright Thai salad.

Crisp and grassy, great line and length – plenty of spice and tropical fruit. Purity, natural acidity and lean fruit are hallmarks of this wine.

Quick Facts

• Exclusively available at Liquor Barons.
• The Idlewild range is sourced primarily from the Margaret River wine region 3.5 hours south of Perth.
• In the past, Idlewild experimented with including a sparkling wine in the range, and sourced fruit internationally, but they now feel that Margaret River, and Great Southern are more appropriate regions for the Idlewild wine portfolio.
