Absolut Vodka Subheading
For a better world, and a better vodka.
What makes Absolut Vodka so special is its focus on having one source and one community. The bottle that sits on your liquor cabinet can be traced all the way back to the Absolut farmers in the small village of Åhus in Sweden. Every drop of water and every seed of wheat comes from one water source, one village and one community. This is why, no matter where in the world you find yourself, Absolut always has the same high quality.
Vodka has been produced in Åhus for over 100 years and Absolut believes that creating vodka of impeccable quality needs shared values. It requires trust in traditions and knowledge that have been passed down through generations of farmers and distillers. With shared beliefs in quality and sustainability, they work to promote sustainable farming practices, while at the same time improving their impact on their communities. Absolut Vodka don’t do this to be on trend, they do it because it’s their backyard. And they’ve always done it that way.

Quick Facts
- From Absolut’s raw spirit distillation, a by-product called stillage is created. Stillage is rich in protein and is fed to thousands of pigs and cows nearby.
- Absolut has a community of approximately 400 farms in Southern Sweden.
- Did you know that vodka is 60% water? Absolut water is tapped locally from wells that are more than 140 meters deep. The water has been filtered through the Swedish bedrock for thousands of years and gives a natural mouthfeel that cannot be created in a lab.
- Even though the iconic Absolut bottles are clear, they’re also a little bit green too. All Absolut bottles are made with 40% recycled glass and this is part of their goal to continually strive for improved sustainability. By focussing on how they can be more sustainable they’ve made their distillery one of the most energy-efficient in the world*. Today, they have CO2 neutral distillation**; a fact they’re very proud of.
