From little things, big things grow…

How it started:
During the month of May, Liquor Barons and Little Creatures decided to join forces and have one of our local beer lovers design their very own beer, as a collaboration between Liquor Barons and our friends at Little Creatures. And so the “Create Your Kegacy” competition was born.

Enter our Create Your Kegacy winner: Stevie!

Stevie provided us with one of the most wholesome and unique concepts that commemorated small town pubs and their people. And so with Stevie’s ingenious idea, and Little Creatures’ brewing expertise, the Little Towns Crispy Lager was born! 

Based on a traditional German Pale Lager, the malt, hops, water and yeast was skillfully brewed by Little Creatures head brewer, Russ Gosling (a close relation to Ryan Gosling, or so we’ve been told), to create a beer that is a balanced, drinkable, crisp and refreshing lager.

Malt: Pale, CaraHell, CaraMunich 1 and Vienna

Hops: Cascade, Perle, Hallertau Mittlefruh and Saphir

Tasting notes: A new–school aroma hop with a noble profile, the Saphir variety is the hero here. Described as delicate and perfumy but pleasantly sweet with fruity overtones – think citrus and berries, it is mild and very approachable in the ‘noble hop’ sense – the perfect balance between spice, floral and fruity.
