Maker’s Mark Subheading
Signed, hand sealed and delivered, it’s yours
Maker’s Mark began with one family’s quest to create a bourbon they enjoyed drinking and sharing with friends. As the world’s first premium bourbon, it changed the industry in 1953. Since then, decades have been spent making Maker’s Mark, carefully crafting it the same way for three generations.
Red winter wheat changed the way we think of bourbon, all because one man changed the way he thought about making it. Bill Samuels Sr. wanted a whisky he would enjoy drinking, that was never bitter and never sharp. Instead of being made with the usual rye, Maker’s Mark is made with soft red winter wheat which makes for a one-of-a-kind, full-flavored bourbon that’s smooth and balanced, always.
Every Maker’s Mark whisky barrel is rotated by hand, to ensure consistency. The bourbon is aged by hand to taste, not time, in solar powered warehouses and every bottle of Maker’s Mark is still hand-dipped in the signature red wax in the distillery in Loretto.
